Common questions

What if my family member doesn't want help yet?

That's more common than you'd think, and it's OK. We never force the process. Some families call us months before anything happens — to talk through the situation, to understand the options. When the person is ready, we're here.

How long does a hoarding clearance take?

It depends entirely on the home and the person. A single room might take a day. A full property can take several visits over weeks. We work at the individual's pace — no rushing, no deadlines imposed by us.

Do you sort through belongings or throw everything away?

We sort everything. The person decides what stays and what goes. Nothing leaves without their agreement. Items are recycled, donated, or disposed of responsibly — with full waste transfer documentation.

Can you coordinate with a social worker or housing officer?

We do this regularly. We work alongside council social care teams, housing officers, and support workers across four local authorities. We handle the communication and provide full documentation for case records.

Will my neighbours know what's happening?

We arrive in unmarked vehicles and work discreetly. We won't discuss the work with anyone outside the agreed team. The person's privacy is protected throughout — that's non-negotiable for us.
